How Mortgage Assistance Can Help You

The Obama Administration announced a $75 billion plan to help up to 9 million Americans struggling to make their mortgage payments. The programs include opportunities to modify or refinance your mortgage to make your monthly payments more affordable. President Obama’s Home Affordable Modification Plan was released March 4, 2009 with a revision released on March 9, 2010.

This plan can lower your interest rate to as low as 2%, extend the term of your mortgage to as far as 40 years and possibly forebear or forgive a portion of your principal mortgage balance.
